my my havent been here for a while.. x.0;; like a whole year.. trying out a new bg... but not so sure if I like it, I mean I like it but I dont know... hey features Project 86 :) an awesome christian rock band. hmm well I might be changing it again though dunno.

let's see I've been reading a most wonderful book by Watchmen Nee called "The Normal Christian Life" RECOMENDED highly! It's awesome awesome.. It really opens your eyes to how its all God, and not based on works, And how we died with Christ already not that we are going to be crucified tommorow or in a year its that its already been done, our old self is already done away with we dont have to try and do away with it ourselves.

1 Corinthians 1:30

But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousnes, and sanctification, and redemption.

So how were we in Christ when he died, was buried, then resurected? By God putting us there. Says so in that verse that God put us in Christ, so we dont have to try and do it ourselves, thank goodness because we can't.

Job verses

Some verses from the Book of Job that I found interesting after I read :)

Job 5:17-18
Blessed is the man whome God corrects; so do not despise the discipline of the Almighty.
For he wounds, but he also binds up;
he injures, but his hands also heal.

Job 4:4-6
Your words have supported those who stumbled;
you have strenthened faltering knees.
But now trouble comes to you, and you are discouraged;
it strikes you, and you are dismayed.
Should not your piety be your confidence
and your blameless ways your hope?

Job 22:21-23
Submit to God and be at peace with him;
in this way prosperity will come to you.
Accept instruction from his mouth
and lay up his words in your heart.
If you return to the Almighty, you will be restored:
If you remove wickedness far from your tent.

Job 22:27-28
You will pray to him, and he will hear you,
and you will fulfill your vows.
What you decide on will be done,
and light will shine on your ways.

Job 8:5-7
But if you will look to God and plead with the Almighty,
if you are pure and upright,
even now he will rouse himslef on your behalf
and restore you to your rightful place.
Your beginnings will seem humble, so prosperous will your future be.

Job 32: 7-9
I thought, 'Age should speak;
advanced years should teach wisdom.'
But it is the spirit in a man,
the breath of the Almighty, that gives him understanding.
It is not only the old(d) who are wise,
not only the aged who understand
what is right.

(d) or many; or great

Job 33:29-30
God does all these things to a man--
twice, even three times--
to turn back his soul from the pit,
that the light of life may shine on him.

excerpt from "Reasons - Skeptics should consider Christianity" by Josh McDowell / Don Stewart"

If a person recognizes that the Bible is the inspired Word of God, he often questions the degree of inspiration. Does it include every book, every word? Does it extend to historical matters? How about scientific statements? Does it include manuscript copies and translation?
A classic statement on the extent of inspiration is given by B.B. Warfield, a reformed theologian:
"The Church has held from the beginning that the Bible is the Word of God in such a sense that its words, though written by men and bearing indelibly impressed upon them the marks of their human origin, were written, nevertheless, under such an influence of the Holy Ghost as to be also the words of God, the adequate expression of His mind and will. It has always recognized that this conception of co-authorship implies that the Spirit's superintendence extends to the choice of the words by the human authors (verbal inspiration, but not a mechanical dictation!) and preserves its product from everything inconsistent with a diven authorship-- thus securing, amount other things, that entire truthfulness which is everywhere presupposed in and asserted for Scripture by the biblical writers (inerrancy).
"The doctrine of plenary inspiration holds that the original documents of the Bible were written by men, who though permitted to exercise of their own personalities and literary talents, yet wrote under the control and guidance of the Spirit of God, the result being in every word of the original documents a perfect and errorless recording of the exact message which God desired to give to man." (The Inspiration and Authority of the Bible, p. 173).

Two words describe the extent of inspiration according to the Bible: verbal and plenary.
Plenary means full, complete extending to all parts. The apostle Paul says in 2 Timothy 3:16, "All Scripture is inspired of God." And Paul told the Thessalonians, "For this reason we also constantly thank God" (1 Thessalonians 2:13. NASB)
The Bible ends with this warning, "I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: if anyone adds to them, God shall add to him the plagues which are written in this book; and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part from the tree of life and from the holy city, which are written in this book" (Revelation 22:18, 19 NASB)
The entire Bible is inspired, not just certain parts!
Inspiration extends not only to all parts of the Bible: it exptends to the very words, "Which things we also speak, not in words taught by human wisdom, but in those taught by the Spirit, combining spiritual thoughts with spiritual words" (1 Corintians 2:13 NASB)"

SKIPPED A PARAGRAPH HERE NOW AGAIN ANOTHER EXCERPT FROM McDowell

"It is of monumental importance to identify the extent of inspiration to include every book of Scripture, each part of every book, and every word in each book as given in the original. This does not include any manuscript copy or any translation which is a reproduction.
No one manuscript or translation is inspired, only the original. However, for all intents and purposes, they are virtually inspired since, with today's great number of manuscripts available for scrutiny, the science of textual criticism can render us an adequate representation. Therefore, we can be assured that when we read the Bible we are reading the inspired Word of God.
Charles Wesley, one of the founders of Methodism, wrote, "The Bible must be the invention either of good men or angels, bad men or devils, or of God. Therefore:
#1. It could not be invention of good men or angels, for they neither would or could make a book, and tell lies all the time they were writing it, saying, 'Thus saith the Lord,' when it was their own invention.
#2. It could not be the invention of bad men or devils, for they would not make a book which commands all duty, forbids all sin, and condemns their souls to hell to all eternity.
#3. Therefore, I draw this conclusion, that the Bible must be given by diven inspiration." (Robert W. Burtner and Robert E. Chiles, A Compendium of Wesley's Theology, p. 20.)

The evidence that the very words of the Bible are God-given may be briefly summarized as follows:
-This is the claim of the classical text (2 Timothy 3:16)
-It is the emphatic testimony of Paul that he spoke in "Words... taught by the Spirit" (1 Corintians 2:13).
-It is evident from the repeated formula, "It is written."
-Jesus said that which was written in the whole Old Testament spoke of Him (Luke 24:27, 44; John 5:39; Hebrews 10:7)
-The New Testament constantly equates the Word of God with the Scripture (writings of the Old Testament (cf. Matthew 21:42; Romans 15:4; 2 Peter 3:16)
-Jesus indicated that not even the smallest part of a Hebrew word or letter could be broken (Matthew 5:18).
-The New Testament refers to the written record as the "oracles of God" (Romans 3:2; Hebrews 5:12).
-Occasionally the writers were even told to "diminish not a word" (Jeremiah 26:2, AV). John even pronounced an anathema upon all who would add to or subtract from the "words of the prophecy of this book" (Revelation 22:18,19).

  Eowyn
Your ideal Middle-Earth parents are Faramir and
Eowyn! Do you have any idea ho difficult it is
to find pictures of your mom and dad together?
Thats because Faramir usually holds the camera.
Anywho, they are the prince and princess of
Ithilien, which will naturally give you some
sort of impressive title. Your uncle omer is
the king of Rohan, so when you were little you
actually got that pony you asked for. And a
beautiful Mustang on your sixteenth birthday,
too! Considering who your parents are, youll
probably be tall and attractive.

Your Middle-Earth mama is Lady Eowyn of Rohan.
Shes one of the coolest women in the history of
ever! She faced down the Witch-King of Angmar
and his fell beast for her uncle, so you know
she will do just about anything to protect you.
She will probably teach you to ride a horse and
use a sword and spear properly, not to mention
letting you visit your uncle Eomer and aunt
Lothiriel all the time.

Your Middle-Earth dad is Faramir of Gondor. He has
a lot of official duties, but when he is
finished for the day hel will spend quality
time with his family. Faramir is very
intelligent, so he can help you with your
homework. If you are rambunctious it will
probably remind him of his brother Boromir, so
he lets you get away with an awful lot. Word
of advice: don not mention your grandfather
Denethor. Your dad doesnt want to talk about
him. Also, insanity runs in your family.
(Maybe you will get lucky)

I hoped you liked my quiz. Please rate it, okay?

A Collection of Verses:

2 Corinthians 4:16-18

"Therefor we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but what is unseen. For what is seen is temproary. but what is unseen is eternal." 2 Corinthians 4:16-18

Psalm 143 8-10

Let the morning bring me word of your
unfailing love,
for I have put my trust in you.
Show me the way I should go,
for to you I lift up my soul.

Rescue me from my enemies, O LORD,
for I hide myself in you.

Teach me to do your will
for you are my God,
may your good Spirit
lead me on level ground.
Psalm 143 8-10

Psalm 118:6

The LORD is with me;
I will not be afraid,
what can man do to me?

I lift up my eyes to the hills--
where does my help come from?
My help comes from the LORD,
the Maker of heaven and earth.

He will not let your foot slip--

slumber;

indeed he who watches over Israel
will neither slumber nor sleep.

The LORD watches over you--
the LORD is your shade at your right
hand;
the sun will not harm you by day,

The LORD will keep you from all harm--
he will watch over your life;
the LORD will watch over your coming
and going
both now and forevermore.

Psalm 121

Jeremiah 29: 11-13

Excerpt from "Glorious Appearing" part of the left behind series by Tim LaHaye and Jerry B. Jenkins

"The Bible says my king is a seven-way king. He's the king of the Jews; that's a racial king. He's the king of Israel; that's a national king. He's the king of righteousness. He's the king of the ages. He's the king of heaven. He's the king of glory. He's the king of kings. Besides being a seven-way king, He's the Lord of lords. That's my king. Well, I wonder, do you know Him?"

Hundreds of thousands applauded, and many stood only to sit again as Lockridge continued.

"David said, 'The heavens declare the glory of God and the firmanament showeth His handiwork.' My king is a sovereign king. No means of measure can define His limitless love. No far-seeing telescope can bring into visibility the coastline of His shoreless supply. No barrier can hinder Him from pouring out His blessings.

"He's enduringly strong. He's entirely sincere. He's eternally steadfast. He's immortally graceful. He's infinitely powerful. He's impartially merciful. Do you know Him?"

Many shouted their agreement.

"He's the greatest pheonomenon that has ever crossed the horizon of this world. He's God's Son. He's the sinner's Savior. He's the centerpiece of civilization. He stands in the solitude of Himself. He's honest and He's unique. He's unparalleled. He's unprecedented.

"He is the loftiest idea in literature. He's the highest personality in philosophy. He is the supreme problem in higher criticism. He's the fundamental doctrine of true theology. He's the core, the necessity for spiritual religion. He's the miracle of the ages. Yes, He is. He's the superlative of everything good that you choose to call Him. He's the only one qualified to be our all-sufficiency. I wonder if you know Him today."

As the preacher continued, more and more listeners stood, some rasing their hands, others shouting agreement, others nodding.

"He supplies strength for the weak. He's available for the tempted and tried. He sympathizes and He saves. He strengthens and sustains. He guards and He guides. He heals the sick. He cleanses the leper. He forgives the sinner. He discharges debtors. He delivers the captive. He defends the feeble. He blesses the young. He serves the unfortunate. He regards the aged. He rewards the diligent. And He beautifies the meek. I wonder if you know Him.

"Well, this is my king. He's the key to knowledge. He's the wellspring of wisdom. He's the doorway of delieverance. He's the pathway of peace. He's the roadway of righteousness. He's the highway of holiness. He's the gateway of glory. Do you know Him?

"Well, His office is manifold. His promise is sure. His life is matchless. His goodness is limitless. His mercy is everlasting. His love never changes. His word is enough. His grace is sufficent. His reign is righteous. His yoke is easy and His burden is light. I wish I could describe Him to you."

That elicited an ocean of laughter and more applause. The same had happened with his original audience, and Lockridge had paused, allowing it to fade before he continued.

He's indescribable. He's incomprehensible. He's invincible. He's irresistible. Well, you can't get Him out of your mind. You can't get Him off of your hand. You can't outlive Him and you can't live without Him. The Pharisees couldn't stand Him, but they found they couldn't stop Him. Pilate couldn't find any fault in Him. Herod couldn't kill Him. Death couldn't handle Him, and the grave couldn't hold Him. That's my king!"

Everyone was standing now, hands raised, many applauding, shouting, some dancing.

"And Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever and ever and ever and ever! How long is that? And ever and ever! And when you get through with all the forevers, then amen! Good God Almighty! Amen!"

I really enjoyed reading this :) I thought I'd post it here ^^
